A big donation will have a big impact on the community. Yesterday, the Broome Leadership Institute Class of 2011 handed out a donation of $3,265 to the Boys and Girls Club of Western Broome. The Boys and Girls club says the money will go to fixing up its Teen Center to make it more accessible. The leadership class raised money through its “Cinco de Mayo” fundraiser back in May. Members say it’s a project that has had a lasting impact. Broome Leadership Institute is a 6 month program that focuses on community leadership for adult professionals. The program has been available in the area since 1988.
