A local mom faces a child endangering charge for the second time this month. 26-year-old Erika Pease’s 5-year-old son was found wandering on Edson Road in the town of Maine for almost two hours Thursday evening according to Broome County Sheriff’s Deputies. Police took a report from an adult who found the boy wandering on the roadside, and they later found Pease outside her Cherry Drive home on the phone trying to locate him. She had reportedly been sleeping when her son got out of the house. Pease was arrested two weeks ago for a similar incident, in which she fell asleep and the boy was running through their trailer park unattended late at night. On Thursday, she was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and was released on an appearance ticket.
