The Broome County Office of Emergency Services is closely monitoring and responding to the impact of the flash flooding
overnight in Broome County.
The Town of Maine has declared a State of Emergency due to flash flooding resulting in flooded roadways and structure
damage. An emergency order has been issued of no entry into barricaded or flooded areas.
A command post will be setup this morning at the Maine Fire Station. Throughout Broome County, there are
several road closures due to the flash flooding.
The County Executive’s Office and Sheriff’s Office are assisting at the Emergency Operations
Center at the Public Safety Building.
Residents should follow all emergency alerts. Broome County officials encourage residents to monitor the weather
forecast and road conditions frequently.
