Masonville man pleads guilty to killing wife, injuring children

A Masonville man pleaded guilty in Delaware County Court to killing his wife and injuring their two children.

According to police, 33-year-old Drew Garnier stabbed his pregnant wife, 29-year-old Samantha Garnier, and their two children in their home on September 4. Samantha did not survive, while the children suffered significant injuries.

Garnier pleaded guilty on Tuesday to felony manslaughter in the first degree. He also pleaded guilty to two violent felony counts of assault in the first degree.

According to the plea agreement, he will serve 30 years in state prison followed by 15 years of post-release supervision. Sentencing is set for May 13th.
