Brett J. Poyer today was sentenced to nine years in prison, and five years’ parole, for five drug counts, related to a January 2018 Port Crane methamphetamine bust. Poyer’s arrest was one of Broome County’s largest meth busts in recent years. The meth ring had ties to Georgia and other locations on the east coast. Poyer pleaded guilty in August to the entire five-count indictment — the morning trial was set to begin.
