Congressman Marc Molinaro has conceded in the race for New York’s 19th congressional district.
Democrat Josh Riley will take over the seat from Molinaro after he earned 50.5 percent of the vote.
Riley, who beat Molinaro by just over 3,500 votes, declared victory the day after the election after the Associated Press called the race in his favor.
Molinaro refused to immediately concede, but that changed on Tuesday as the Republican released a video on his official Facebook page congratulating his opponent.
