National Pipe and Plastics in Endicott could be facing a lawsuit. Attorney Ron Benjamin will be hosting a meeting at the George F. Johnson Library tomorrow night at seven o’clock to raise awareness on the negative effects the company could have on the neighborhood. The purpose of the meeting is encourage people to donate money toward the cause, which in this case would be pursuing a lawsuit. According to Benjamin, the factory decreases the values of neighboring properties, and could also have toxic emissions. He is looking for residents to contribute toward legal costs to cover the expense of experts.
