The Norwich Police Department is investigating a fatal car vs. pedestrian accident.
According to WBNG-TV, the accident occurred at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday on Cortland Street in Norwich.
Police said 68-year-old James C. Wright was killed when he was hit by a car driven by a 19-year-old. The driver did not sustain any injuries in the crash.
The accident caused damage to a house and several street signs were knocked down.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
