Endicott police said Friday that the Broome County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a scam on Summit Street, just outside the Village of Endicott. This is a typical Social Security Number and/or IRS scam. However, the scammer is identified as “Officer Billings” from the Endicott Police Department and the Caller ID showed the Endicott dispatch number, 785-3341.
Remember, Chief Patrick Garey said, Endicott Police Department will never ask for personal information of this nature.
