Following years of delays, the old, dilapidated IBM buildings in Endicott are set to be demolished.

The old factory buildings have been vacant for many years, and on Monday, the Village of Endicott board finalized a plan to tear down the structures at the corner of McKinley Ave. and North Street.

Phoenix Investors received a $6 million dollar grant from the Restore New York program to help pay for the work.

The demolition is expected to begin before the end of this year.
