One person was injured in a car accident on Interstate 81 in Chenango on Saturday morning.
According to WBNG-TV, firefighters from Chenango and Binghamton had to use the jaws of life to remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver was stuck between the door and center console.
Firefighters had to cut and remove the entire center console before removing the female victim from the car.
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries to her left arm and leg.
The Chenango Ambulance Service, Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad, Chenango Bridge Fire Company and Broome County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
