The Broome County Sheriff’s Office has released information regarding an Owego woman being found with a stolen handgun during a routine traffic stop. 23-year-old Sabrina Mastronardi was stopped along Route 17 westbound near the border of Tioga and Broome counties when police allegedly found her to be in possession of a Taurus .38 special handgun that had been reported stolen from a residence in the Town of Chenango. Police also say they found marijuana in her vehicle. She was charged with a felony count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and an unlawful possession of marijuana violation. She was arraigned in Vestal Town Court and sent to the Broome County jail.
