The community will celebrate the Binghamton Patriots boys basketball team’s historic season on Saturday.
A parade will be held in honor of the Patriots after they brought home the state championship for the first time since 1986.
The parade will begin at noon in front of the Broome County Courthouse and will head down Court Street and Main Street. A ceremony is set for 12:30 outside of the Binghamton High School main entrance on Oak Street.
The City of Binghamton Police and Fire Departments will lead the parade, which will include the cheerleaders, other members of the Binghamton basketball program, the Binghamton drum band and members of the 1985 and 1986 state champion basketball and cheerleading teams.
