Patrick Brennan has officially been sworn in as Broome County Executive.
He takes over for Barbara Fiala, who resigned to take a job running the state DMV.
After being sworn in, Brennan gave a short speech addressing his top priorities moving forward.
First on his mind is the budget and he says it makes his job very challenging.
Brennan will serve out Fiala’s term, which runs through the end of this year.
He is expected run for the position in November.
