Johnson City Police arrested a Pennsylvania man after he was found with a loaded handgun in the front seat of his car. Officers were investigating a motor vehicle accident when 54-year-old John Schultz of Kingsley, Pennsylvania pulled up to officers saying he was lost.
The officers noticed that he was stumbling and confused and appeared to be impaired when they spotted the handgun, for which he did not have a permit. He was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a weapon, both in the second and third degree, along with a misdemeanor charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs. He was sent to the Broome County jail.
