A Port Crane man has pleaded not guilty in Broome County Court to charges of rape and burglary. 38-year-old Michael Degnan was indicted last month on fourteen charges, including first-degree rape and second-degree burglary. The burglary comes after he allegedly attempted to steal clothing and a truck from a residence in Fenton. Degnan is being held in the Broome County Jail without bail, and if convicted could face over 25 years in prison.
