The US Department of Agriculture’s Food and Safety Inspection Service has issued a public health alert for frozen, fully cooked Wegman’s breaded chicken breast nuggets.
The FSIS reported that the nuggets may be contaminated with extraneous material, specifically bone fragments. The nuggets were produced on Aug. 26, 2024, and come in 46-ounce packages labeled Wegmans Family Pack Fully Cooked Breaded chicken breast with rib meat. The best if used by date is Aug. 26, 2025.
The packages were distributed to Wegmans stores in New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC.
