Senator Tom Libous announced the winners of The Student Community Service Awards which is a program sponsored by Senator Libous, Broome-Tioga BOCES and WBNG-TV. Students receive a $1,000 scholarship based on their volunteer service to the local community rather than academic performance.

One of the 31 winners announced was Rachel Grant of Owego Free Academy. Her volunteering included being a Mentor, Owego Elementary School Buddies Program, doing Document recovery, Save Our History project. And being a Volunteer, St. Margaret Mary’s/St. James summer program. All 31 Winners are listed below.
