JOHNSON CITY — On Thursday February 8, 2024 at about 5:48 p.m., the Johnson City Police Department responded to the area of Harry L Drive and North Harrison Street for a report of a male that had been stabbed. Responding officers located a 16-year-old male that had sustained stab wounds to his head and back. Responding officers assisted with rendering medical aid to the victim while other officers canvassed the area.
A short time later a JCPD officer was speaking with subjects in the area when he observed a male, later identified as Tyheem Jordan, throw a jacket into a nearby vehicle. The officer then looked into the vehicle and observed a small handgun near the jacket. Jordan was subsequently detained and brought to the JCPD. The firearm was collected and was found to be a loaded 9mm ghost gun. As this was taking place, JCPD detectives were observing video from a nearby business of Jordan clearly chasing the wounded victim with the firearm displayed.
An additional suspect, Luke Lucas, was developed. JCPD detectives responded to his residence in Binghamton and he was taken into custody without incident.
On the morning of Feb. 9, a third suspect was developed and discovered to be a 17 year old Binghamton resident. JCPD detectives responded to Binghamton and took him into custody without incident.
The 16-year-old victim in this case has received treatment for his injuries and is in stable condition. The incident was the result of a dispute over social media, and the parties involved were known to each other.

Arrestee 3:

- Attempted assault in the first degree – a class C Felony
- Criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree – a class A misdemeanor
Jordan and Lucas were processed at the JCPD and taken to Broome County central arraignment, where they were remanded to the Broome County correctional facility. The 17-year-old suspect remains in police custody pending his arraignment in the Broome County Court’s Youth Part.
