The South Street Bridge over Half Brook at Pixley Road in the Town of Barker will be closed starting on Wednesday, June 29th at 8am to make emergency repairs on the bridge. Deputy Commissioner for the Broome County Highway Department tells 40 news that,”Concrete needed to be replaced on a small part of the deck.”
The project is scheduled to reopen Friday, July 1, 2011 weather permitting. Motorists are reminded to use the marked detours
