A Groton man faces DWI charges after police say he caused a crash Saturday night. It happened on Route 81 in the Town of Chenango. Sheriff’s deputies said 53-year-old Edward Miller was driving at about 100 miles per hour on the highway, and caused a crash with another vehicle. They said a test showed Miller was drunk. Officials said Miller told them he was speeding because he was trying to get to the Harley Davidson shop before it closed.
Saturday was Miller’s birthday. He was arrested for DWI, and issued several traffic citations.
