Two Pedestrians Struck Over Thanksgiving Weekend

There were two pedestrians struck by vehicles over the Thanksgiving weekend. On Friday at about 9:13PM, 58-year-old Robert Lowe was crossing Upper Front Street in the Town of Chenango, when he was struck by a vehicle. Lowe was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital and later pronounced deceased. The driver of the vehicle has not been ticketed, but the accident remains under investigation.

On Saturday at about 7PM, 62-year-old Glen Shoen, of Binghamton, was crossing Upper Court Street in the town of Kirkwood. The driver attempted to avoid Shoen and struck him with the drivers’ side mirror. Shoen was transported to Wilson Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition. The case is still on-going.
