The Town of Union will be hosting meetings this weekend to discuss a long-term flood recovery plan. Residents will be able to give suggestions about how the town should spend a community development block grant worth $10.1 million that was awarded to the town by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development . A workshop today will focus on climate change and how Union can prepare itself for extreme weather in the future, and Friday and Saturday will feature an open house where residents can review some project suggestions the plan is considering, and give their opinions to planners, engineers, and designers.
