Traffic Delays in the Area This Week

The New York State Department of Transportation will continue pavement repair and sign structure work within the Prospect Mountain construction project. Today, the right lane on Route 17 westbound between the Prospect Street exit and the Airport Road exit will be closed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday. And the left lane on I-81 southbound will be closed between the I-81 Rt. 17 split and Binghamton exit. Crews will working to widen the roadway for a future traffic pattern switch.

Milling and paving is scheduled to begin today in the Village of Endicott. Work will start at the Oak Hill avenue and Clark Street intersection. Once this intersection is milled and cleaned crews will begin on McKinley Avenue and North Street. The village Engineering department says work for the traffic signal project is expected to run through May 8th pending good weather conditions.
