The theft of a .22 caliber rifle has resulted in the arrest of two suspects by the New York State Police. 37-year-old Edward Shelton and 22-year-old Cheyenne Koban, both from Port Crane, were arrested Wednesday on felony Grand Larceny charges. Troopers were advised of a theft from a home in the town of Fenton. The investigation determined Shelton and Koban had taken the rifle without permission when they moved out of the home. Both suspects were arraigned in the town of Fenton court and released without bail required. Their next court dates are pending.
