Broome County Executive Jason Garner has lifted two of the emergency orders he issued during last week’s flash flood event. Effective last Friday at 11AM, the “No recreational use of waterways” and “no driving on flooded roadways” restrictions were lifted. Still in effect are the following emergency orders:

  • No entry into barricaded areas.
  • Tipping fees at Broome County Landfill for flood debris remain waived.

The State of Emergency will remain in effect until further notice, and the Broome County Emergency Operations Center remains activated at the Public Safety Building.
