A car crash on Sunday injured two people and trapped one person inside their vehicle. Just before 11 o’clock Sunday morning, a car was attempting to back into a driveway on Park Avenue in the Town of Binghamton when it was struck by another vehicle. According to New York State Police, the car then went off the road and into the woods. The driver of that car was trapped inside the vehicle and had to be cut out of the car using hydraulic rescue tools. Both people involved in the accident had to be taken to local hospitals for treatment. An area of Park Avenue had to be temporarily shut down. The Town of Binghamton Fire Department assisted state police at the scene.
