The City of Binghamton could see two new cannabis retail locations in the near future.
According to WBNG-TV, the former A&W restaurant on Court Street could become Cotton Mouth Dispensary pending approval of its cannabis retail license.
The other cannabis dispensary is expected to move into the storefront located at 242 Main Street in Binghamton. Vivid Wellness LLC has secured all the needed approvals to open in the Main Street location.
The City of Binghamton will claim a 3 percent tax on all sales of cannabis at legal retailers.
