Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to three motor vehicle thefts in Johnson City over the course of several weeks. 17-year-old James Corey of Whitney Point and a 16-year-old male from Johnson City were apprehended by authorities following a car chase across Broome County yesterday. The chase ended when the two teens crashed at the intersection of Burbank Avenue and Davison Street in Johnson City. The teens attempted to flee on foot into the Floral Avenue Cemetery, but were apprehended. Both teens have been arrested on numerous charges by the Johnson City Police Department, and are awaiting further charges from other police agencies involved in yesterday’s pursuit.
Both teens have been sent to the Broome County Jail to await further court proceedings.
