A Vestal man has been charged with unlawful sale of alcohol to an underage person following the incident last Friday night at the Courtside Bar and Grill.
A 20-year-old was served a drink that had been lit on fire before being served. The drink combusted, causing a large spurt of fire.
The female was rushed to a local hospital for immediate treatment and transferred to Upstate Medical in Syracuse. Two other people were treated by medics at the scene.
The Binghamton Police Department has opened an internal investigation after security footage of the incident was leaked and showed up on a social media site.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, one patrol officer has been suspended without pay.
