Vestal Man Steals Vehicles from Closed Dealerships, 6 Felonies, Released

Broome County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division has arrested Leonard O. Adams, 30-year-old male from the Town of Vestal. Adams is being accused of burglarizing three locations in the Town of Union and stealing two vehicles from car dealerships that have been forced to close during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Adams was found to be in possession of one of the stolen vehicles as well as stolen property from the three burglaries during a traffic stop in Tomkins County. The second stolen vehicle has also been recovered. Adams was charged with three (3) counts of Burglary in the Third Degree, three (3) counts of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and one (1) count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree.

To remain in compliance with the new, New York State Bail Reform Laws, Adams was processed for arrest and released on all charges.
