Binghamton University is one of the sites across New York State that will be acting as a hub for new businesses to operate without any taxes for ten years. Governor Andrew Cuomo’s Start Up New York campaign offers new businesses a decade of no state income, business, or corporate taxes, along with no local sales and property taxes. To be eligible for the program, start-up businesses would have to partner with Binghamton University and be located within a certain area. The university says that space has been set side on the campus and throughout the community for new businesses.
