The New York State Department of Transportation has announced that concrete pavement will be placed on State Route 201 southbound beginning on Tuesday, June 14th at 10 p.m. and continuing until 4 a.m. on June 15th.
This work will resume at 10 p.m. on June 15th and conclude at 4 a.m. on June 16.
All work is expected to be completed by 4 a.m. on June 16th, weather permitting.
State Route 201 southbound will be closed to traffic from south of Riverside Drive to Vestal Road, between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night.
The roadway will reopen to traffic each morning. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes.
As motorists approach work zones, it is advised to stay alert and calm. Slow down when instructed to do so. Merge safely. Keep a safe distance between vehicles. Obey the posted signs within the work zone. Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
