On June 20, the Vestal Police Department, NYSP Troop C VGNET while working in conjunction with the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at 365 First Ave., a residential property in the Town of Vestal. Investigators located numerous people inside the residence, along with 44.8 grams of methamphetamine, packaging material, scales, drug paraphernalia, marijuana plants and processed marijuana.
The Vestal Police Department arrested and charged Mario R. Darder, 30 years old, of Vestal, with:
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony.
- Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the Fourth Degree, a Class C Felony,
- Criminally using drug paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending. Darder was arraigned Thursday at the Broome County Public Safety Building and remanded to the custody of the Broome County Sheriff’s Office.
