After weeks of budget hearings, Vestal Central School District’s Board of Education voted to adopt a budget for the 2011-2012 school year. The $72 million budget cuts roughly 48 positions throughout the district. About half of the positions cut will be through layoffs and the rest through attrition. Taxpayers will vote on the budget May 17th.
