Vestal Police have arrested the man they say started the fire at All-Star Auto last month. 32-year-old Christopher Stoudt of Towanda is being charged with arson, burglary, and grand larceny, along with petit larceny. He is accused of breaking into the car dealership’s office on June 30th, intentionally starting a fire, and stealing a vehicle. He was arrested by Towanda Borough Police after a stolen vehicle was found at his home. The car’s license plate was found to have been stolen from the area near All-Star Auto. He was originally arrested by Towanda Police and charged with a felony count of receiving stolen property. Stoudt then waived extradition, and on Wednesday was returned to Vestal, where he was arraigned on the new charges in Vestal Town Court. He was sent to the Broome County Jail.
