On February 12th, a robbery was reported on I-88 by a tractor trailer driver.
The ‘good Samaritan’ driver had stopped to assist two men with a disabled vehicle.
The driver claimed he was then robbed 0f cash, cell phone, and a company gas card by the men.
On Monday, the New York State Police arrested the driver, Raymond Young Sr, 57, of Gloversville, for Falsely Reporting an Incident and Making a Punishable False Written Statement.
Both charges are misdemeanors.
Young was issued an appearance ticket and must appear at the Town of Unadilla Court on April 4th.
