Wegmans Food Markets has kicked off its company-wide Fill the Bus campaign to raise money Feeding America food bank partners.
Starting on Wednesday, customers can donate as little as $3 to the store’s local food bank summer feeding and backpack programs.
These programs ensure school-aged children have access to adequate food during the summer months.
The Elmira, Ithaca and Johnson City locations are participating in the event, with all proceeds going to the Southern Tier Food Bank.
