The elusive Whitney Point alligator has been captured. The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation captured the alligator Saturday afternoon behind the fairgrounds in Whitney Point. It has been placed permanently at Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville where it currently sits in quarantine for an unknown period of time. It is expected to be placed on exhibit in the future.
