A wind chill advisory is in effect in our area until noon on Wednesday. The National Weather Service in Binghamton says wind chill readings will range from 10 to 20 degrees below zero through tomorrow. Winds will be traveling from north to northwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour, and temperatures are expected to drop to as low as ten degrees below zero late tonight and into the morning. The wind chill is expected to be cold enough to cause frostbite in thirty minutes or less, so all exposed skin should be covered.
