Ashley Carnivale Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

A murder suspect set for a trial next month opts to take a plea deal instead.
23-year-old Ashley Carnevale and her husband Anthony Carnevale were both involved in a home invasion and shooting that took place in 2009 in the Town of Windsor. Jean Clark died during the incident, and another man was seriously wounded.
Ashley Carnevale won an appeal and was granted a new trial based on problems with police interrogation and ineffective counsel. On Tuesday, Carnevale decided to plead guilty to manslaughter and assault. She will be sentenced to 15 years in prison in June. Her previous murder sentence ran 15 years to life.
Her husband pleaded guilty and is currently serving 25 years to life for murder.
