A winter storm warning remains in effect in our area until seven o’clock this evening. Snowfall is expected to taper off into the afternoon, with snow becoming lighter in the afternoon before turning into flurries by the evening. Temperatures are expected to remain in the mid 20’s, with winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour, and 20 mile per hour gusts. Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling on all roadways today.
The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office says if it is necessary for you to travel, use caution and allow extra time to reach your destination.
Tioga County Offices will open at 11:00 AM due to the snowstorm in our area.
The Town of Owego offices will be closed until 11:30, with the Village of Owego offices closed until 11.
Tioga Opportunities is closed today.
Bread of Life Food Pantry in Candor closed today.
The Tioga County Historical Society is also closed for the day.
Binghamton University classes will resume starting at 1 o’clock this afternoon.
