A Broome County man is in the hospital after a crash in Bradford County Thursday.
Pennsylvania State Police say 28-year-old Michael Davies of Port Crane was driving north on State Route 187 in Orwell Township around 5:30pm when his vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and directly in the path of a tractor-trailer hauling sand.
The two collided head-on, splitting Davies’ Ford Mustang into two pieces. The man had to be extricated by firefighters. He was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, where he is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
Troopers did not say what caused Davies to veer into the oncoming lane.
