A Bradford County man was in jail on $1.5 million bail Tuesday night after police say he assaulted a woman, ran from police, crashed his truck and then tried to fight the doctors treating him. Canton Police said on Saturday, they responded to a call that 44-year-old John Gundaker, of Canton, was fighting with a woman. When they and Troy police arrived, they say Gundaker took off in his truck. He eventually crashed his truck into another truck. Police said he was hostile toward EMTs treating his injuries from the crash. They used medicine to put him to sleep. When he woke up in the hospital he tried to fight the doctors. Gundaker is charged with multiple crimes including assault, resisting arrest and reckless driving.
