(Wellsboro, Pa.) – A total of 890 people, including 797 adults and 93 youths, enjoyed eggs, buckwheat pancakes and ham during the Canyon Pilots Association All-You-Can-Eat Fly-In Breakfast on Sunday, September 4 at the Grand Canyon Regional Airport, near Wellsboro.
“There was never a long line, but there was always a steady flow from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.,” said Joe Burnside, treasurer.
“Last year 580 people attended our Labor Day breakfast despite the constant rain and concern about the pandemic. This year there were low clouds that kept most private planes from landing at the airport and a little bit of rain at one point but people spent time outside looking at the displays and talking with one another. It was a nice crowd. We had lots of newcomers,” said Burnside.
