The Arctic League closed its big book on Friday, capping another successful year of fundraising to give kids a special Christmas.
Elmira Police Officers delivered the final donation of $2,500 to help the local non-profit organization finish the year with more than $189,000 in donations. The group’s goal was to raise $175,000.
All money raised will go towards providing Chemung County children presents this Christmas.
Volunteers are needed to help deliver presents on Christmas Eve. Starting at 9 am, cars can begin staging on College Ave. and Second Street heading north.
