Ashland man indicted for sexually assaulting minors

The Ashland man who was arrested last month has been indicted on more than 20 charges in connection with the sexual assault of several young girls.

According to the Chemung County District Attorney’s Office, 49-year-old Warren Morrison has been charged with seven counts of rape, 10 counts of sexual abuse, three counts of forcible touching, two counts of criminal sexual act and one count of predatory sexual assault.

Morrison was arrested after a School Resource Officer in Chemung County was advised by a juvenile female that she and other females were being sexually assaulted by the suspect over a number of years.

According to the indictment, Morrison allegedly sexually abused three children between the ages of 11 and 15 starting in 2020 and continuing through this year.

Morrison is currently in the Chemung County Jail without bail.
