The Steuben County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 47-year-old Bath man for rape.
According to police, Dale L. Scofield has been charged with rape in the first degree, and unlawful imprisonment in the first degree.
Scofield was arrested on Wednesday after he allegedly held a person against their will and assaulted them.
The suspect was arraigned and remanded to jail on $50,000 bail.
