Chemung County Health Dept. looking to locate dog who bit person in Wellsburg

The Chemung County Health Department is looking for a dog that bit a person in Wellsburg last week.

According to the health department, the incident occurred on Main Street between 4^th and 5^th street at around 5 p.m. on May 7.

The dog is a medium sized brown lab or pit bull mix, with longish hair. The dog was not wearing a collar.

The county wants to find the dog in order to verify it is healthy so the person it bit can avoid rabies shots if possible.
