Chemung County is hosting an open house to highlight their Adopt-A-Highway program tonight (Tuesday, Sept. 24).
The open house will begin at 6 p.m. at the Chemung County Department of Public Works, located at 803 Chemung Street in Horseheads.
The county is looking for individuals, businesses and organizations to adopt a section of the highway and commit to keeping it litter free through regular clean-up activities.
All necessary supplies, including safety vests, trash bags and gloves will be provided by the county.
